Dear Matteo,
Thanks for taking the time to write. I'm sure when all is said and done,
you'll realize that the Frass Meteorite represents the first known newly
formed Martian volcanic meteorite. I will be glad to debate you or anyone
else on the evidence that I have accumulated, including the total lack of
logic in the rules for finding meteorites. The "real" meteorite experts will
some day have to face the deceit and dishonor that they have brought on their
profession by their almost God-like ability to pronounce what is, or is not, a
meteorite. No matter what you say, this rock landed on my great aunt's ranch
more than 30 years ago, it has not been wet in over 13 million years, it has
magnetic dust, and Martian chemistry. You have never viewed the rock, nor
made any scientific tests on it, yet somehow, you can be confident you know
the planet of origin. Tell me, do you actually live in an ivory tower? Do
you have superhuman senses? You do science a disservice by your lack of an
open mind.
However, I respect all viewpoints and I've posted your letter on my web site.
Your friend,
micromike
