Flying Insect
This insect
was discovered by accident one day while looking through the sand that had come
from the meteorite when the core sample was taken.
While
trying to turn it over with my probe, it stuck to the probe by
electrostatic forces. I was then able to place it in its own Petri dish.
After making numerous photos, I sent the insect to a scientist who said he
wanted to study it. He later said that it did not arrive and I have not
seen it since. It is one of the few pieces of the Frass Meteorite that is
missing.
From my
observations, I could see no "facial" features on the insect, except the two
large antennae that extend upwards from the head.
You can see the same sand stuck this creature that is
stuck to everything else in the meteorite.
