Subject: two things

Buck,

I forgot to mention that if you examine the drawings I sent you going from fcb to fcc, on the middle tit between vesicles 1 and 2, we see that the direction of the material was switched by the wind currents. I think any objective viewing of the rock will show this feature.

When you have the meeting, please have as many non-meteorite people there as possible. Just scientists with an open mind and especially those interested in Mars. You see, I can point out the melting and show quite a number of features, but the meteorite experts can always say that in their opinion, it is not fusion crust, even though the evidence shows that this rock did come through the atmosphere. This is a bias caused by their training and the rules of meteorite identification. I think those people who can use their own senses to fairly judge this rock (and have not had that specific training) will see that it has fusion crust, just not exactly like a non-vesicled rock made of solid material. I would like everyone who attends to understand that if they become interested in the rock, that they will have any opportunity that they desire to help study this rock. I would be glad to accept suggestions as to a cheap method of determining the planet of origin. One possibility that I have considered is looking at the density of the sandy material. If the little rocks that are made of sand were put together under a lessor gravitational field, this should be something that could be measured to see what the gravitational field was at the time the water evaporated. Maybe?

Your friend,
