Michael,

I'm sorry that I haven't kept you up to date on all that has happened. You are right. You did advise me what to do next and other people seemed to be promising more at the time. The net result is that I have been unable to get that test done, although David has agreed to do it. The sample I sent to you had very little fusion crust, but other places on the rock show it more clearly.

Everyone who has seen my rock (including three geologist) believe that it passed through the atmosphere. That seems to be evident to all first hand observers but lacking in all remote observers. Since the rock is made of silicon and has a vesicular structure, the fusion crust is best viewed with a microscope. If you will take the time to visit my web site, you will see a number of pictures of the rock including a section on the fusion crust. If you will take the time to follow all my logic, I think you will agree that this rock needs to be tested soon.

When you first tested this rock, I thought that you were pretty closed minded, since I was asserting that I knew this rock to have come from space. But after all the people I have contacted and all the results I have seen, your assertion that you were not hopeful it was a meteorite, now seems very open minded to me. Anyway, I have devoted numerous hours to this project and the one piece of evidence that I don't think anyone can deny is the fact that this rock has not been wet. But what I want most is that oxygen isotope ratio test, so that we can know for sure. But most of all I want to thank you because, as of this moment, you are still the only person to have run any kind of scientific test. And now with the information that this kind of rock may be very prevalent on Mars, I want to thank you for giving me the one piece of evidence that does match what we are seeing on Mars.

Thanks again for your help. I will not forget that you helped me.
