| Mike, We have no problem with your sharing your views on the rock (or anything else!) with the outside world. If we come up with controversial findings on the rock, other labs would have to duplicate the findings anyway before anyone started to take it seriously. If you can hold out, I should have some more data within the next month or so. But if you're anxious to have someone else look at it, analyze it etc. that's absolutely fine. I know we've taken a long time, and I apologize. Again, you're not the only one waiting for data. I'll keep in touch regarding the microprobe analysis of your thin section. Meanwhile, if you want to do something else with it, I would still recommend getting an XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis done at a commercial lab. It will probably cost you about $50 and it will give you significant new information like Fe/Mn ratios, which are distinct from one planet to the next. Try these guys: Chemex Labs Inc. 994 West Glendale Ave., Suite 7 Sparks, Nevada 89431 702-356-5395 You want a major element oxide analysis (11 elements total) for which they'll probably want several grams of sample. It will probably take them about a month to do it. We'll be happy to help you interpret the data if you request it. Jamie ******************************************************************** James D.
