When I first discovered this meteorite, I originally thought it was from =

Hello Mike,

The first step is to determine if the rock you have is a meteorite.

Mars meteorites are extremely rare, but from your descriptions you may

possibly have a stony meteorite, which is the most common type of

meteorite. From your photo, I can't really determine if it is

a meteorite. Can you send me a sample? A size of about a quarter with

.25 inches in thickness should do. Make sure that the sample is a piece

that has the exterior showing (with fusion crust if there is any), and also

shows the interior on the other side.
