Dear Editor,

I hereby challenge the editors of the Amarillo Daily News and the Amarillo Globe Times to a "truth-out at the OK Corral," or "truth at twenty paces."

On numerous occasions I have tried to notify your newspaper of the important story that is brewing in the city of Amarillo. In my opinion, this story will soon become the most important story of our times. It is the story of the life of Mars, which still continues to this day in the Frass Meteorite, the first living meteorite. It is also the story of an infinite cosmos and a better understanding of our finite place in this infinite cosmos. This story is not important because it just affects the people of Amarillo, but because it directly affects the lives of every human being on this planet. The knowledge that we are not alone in this vast cosmos is one of the most important steps for mankind to make in our rise to awareness. Thus, for your newspaper to continue to hide this story from the citizens of this city, and this county, and this world is a breach of human decency.

Either what I say is true or not. If it is true, then the story is as important as I say. If I am not correct and am trying some kind of sham on humanity, then that too needs to be reported, although that would certainly be of less importance. But your oath, I would assume, is to the truth. If you care about the truth, then you must investigate this claim and determine the truth for yourself.

So here is my challenge to you. The Frass Meteorite is currently being stored here in Amarillo and is now available for viewing by any of your representatives or scientists of your choice. This may represent the only chance for your newspaper to make their own photographs and write their own stories of this rock of the ages. Until this story appears on CNN, I will cooperate in any way with your newspaper to help you arrive at the truth concerning this rock. This means you may view the rock and my evidence and have my complete cooperation in your search for the truth. However, the first open-minded scientist (Dr. Alan Treiman) has now examined the rock and his initial examination has confirmed my model of creation by side vents of an ancient Martian volcano over the last 50 million years. A tape of this meeting is available so that you may judge for yourself his comments and body language. Once the story appears on CNN, I will have to assume that your newspaper is not open-minded, and thus you will not be allowed any interviews or opportunities to photograph the meteorite. Dr. Treiman will present his report to the Congressional Oversight Committee for NASA by the end of March. This should give you a good time frame of how much time you have to act.

Since you never print my letters to the editor, I will assume you won't print this one, either. But it doesn't matter because I have a host of web sites that are growing in hits daily. It is only a matter of time until I will have more "readers" than you do. Thus I have posted this document at one of my web sites, so that my public challenge to you will not go unnoticed. Is the truth important to the people who work at your newspaper? This is your challenge and I hope you are up to this task.
