Dear Sir or Madam:

I have several comments about the latest report of the planetary society.

On going to space, mankind has two choices, leave the planet or end our existence here. The planet Earth represents all of mankind's eggs in one basket. Something very large or something very small could easily endanger the entire species. The resources of Earth are limited while the resources of space are unlimited. It is much more sane for mankind to mine asteroids than to continue raping our planet.

And on the story about Mars, I think your organization is totally without intestinal fortitude. Several months ago, I sent a complete set of reports on the Frass Meteorite, the first living meteorite, to Louis Friedman. To date, he hasn't even answered my letter or let me know that he received the information. Luckily, out of all the closed-minded researchers which are now studying Mars and meteorite, there is one man who has guts and an open mind. Dr. Alan Treiman of the Lunar and Planetary Institute has now viewed the Frass Meteorite and will be submitting a report to the congressional oversight committee sometime in March. The Frass rock represent the last 50 million years of the history of Mars and has a good collection of the ancient species of Mars, as well as one species that seems to be thriving here on Earth.

The Frass Meteorite can do more to unify and excite the people about the concept of going to Mars than anything the Planetary Society has yet done. I can't understand why your organization will not help me, when our goals are so similar. The only thing that I can figure is just a lack of open mindedness and a lack of intestinal fortitude. I hope that this situation will soon change and we can work together to help get mankind off this planet.
