JPL Images from Noel
Hello Marslife.com Editors,
As before I have been scanning the Nasa Website
for intriguing images from
both the Opportunity and Gusev Crater sites.
Sometimes you see incredibly intriguing features
in the soils and rocks.
Attached are pictures (again the name is altered
with the mod inclusion at the
end) of what I conclude is the mother of all Blue
Berries (somewhat eroded) that
still shows a layered circular structure. Or is it
a martian anologue to the Frass meteroite
still in situ?? Also a rock that can only be
considered as bizarre, to say the least.
It is very un-eroded and looks remarkably
"recent". I would be interested in your readers
comments as to what process caused the
jagged appearance to this structure. It is totally
different to other rocks seen to date in the
spirit site.
Regards.
Noel

μmicronote: I have often
wondered how the Frass Meteorite was created, since apparently every vesicle
in the rock (and there are a million) is full of sand. If the
vesicle is big enough, there can be other rocks, small pieces of dead "trees,"
and even bug parts contained within the vesicles. Sometimes I have
almost thought that the lava would have had to flow straight up through the
sand to capture so much material. I guess it is more likely that the
rock featured above was "flown in" to this location by an asteroid impact
nearby. But it does look like very new lava and could it have arisen
right at this spot?
Hi there,
I have been downloading images from the JPL web
site now for a few months
and attach a couple of images for you to review if
you want to.
I have added the word "mod" to the actual image
name and altered the image by
outlining the interesting spots in red. Zoom in
these spots for a good look and
be amazed at what you see. One image appears to
show a number of fossilised
skulls !! Zoom into these and have a good look. On
one, the mouth even appears
to have teeth and the light penetrates through
onto the soil underneath. Also,
curious enigmatic circle features. One rock shows
a herringbone structure in a
number of cavities. you find out the pixs in
question.
Anyway they are interesting, don't you agree??
Also the "airbag threads" that supposedly litter
the sites have gotten under the
pebbles without disturbing them, quite a trick
don't you think???
In any case I think that the Nasa Officials are
being very careful not to let any
cats out of the bag.
regards
Noel
