Yellow Worm
I don't know if this is a worm or some other kind of creature. I have been hesitant to bring this out, because I'm not completely sure that it came from the interior of the Frass rock. Every since I first began looking at the rock through my microscope, I have found a number of colorful and hairy worm type things. At first, and for a long time after that, I considered them Earthly contaminants, since I can see some of them by looking into the vesicles of the rock. But it seems like every time I have taken a sample from the rock, I continue to find more of these worm like creatures. This doesn't appear to be all of this creature, since one end appears to be broken off and missing. The object is covered with tiny hairs and is very colorful under the microscope. In this first view, the object is "upside-down" to my way of thinking. Thus we are looking at its underside. |
| Here is a close-up of the end that appears to be broken off. The main colors seem to be yellow and black. Did Martian creatures have color vision? |
| Here is the other end of the yellow worm. This would be the rear end, I would think. He is still upside-down. |
In this picture, he is upright and we are looking at his back. |
Another overview similar to the first picture. He is on his back. |
